Now here is someone I know DEFINITIVELY that I taught all five years! It was a great ride, Mohamed. You have grown so much (in stature, of course, but also as a person). I am proud of you for the sort of young man that you leave our school as.
Mohamed's entire family are some of the most thoughtful people you will ever meet. I taught oldest sister Fatima a single time (it was a great year!) and never taught sister Maha once (though we DO share a birthday!). And yet, every Christmas, end-of-the-year, etc I receive the most lovely cards and gifts from them all. Plus, I know they do amazing volunteer work in our community. What a beautiful family!
Mohamed has always been an exceptional Math student. What I admire him most for, however, is how hard-working he is. Rather than "resting on his laurels", Mohamed always gives his very best effort. Most of the projects he handed in to me included work that was far beyond what was asked on the assignment. Being naturally curious, Mohamed would often extend the project to include more complicated topics. I learned lots from his work!
Thanks for five great years, Mohamed. And thanks to your entire family for all the cheer they have brought me. I know I can count on you all to continue visiting me from time to time and I look forward to it already. Good luck at U of T and keep working hard! Love you, Mohamed!
