This week's Student of the Week is Stefan N.
I am short of time this week (report cards are coming!) so I am writing Stefan's Student of the Week blurb point form. Nothing personal SN!! Seven things I will remember about Stefan:
Stefan, you are a talented student and an admirable person. I wish you nothing but the best. Never lose your calm, accepting, happy nature. Your good mood is infectious and should be shared with the world! Two mediocre (if not disappointing) songs from two great bands. Congratulations to Dawn Avery on being selected as a semi-finalist by the Loran Scholars
Foundation! Dawn will attend regional interviews in Vancouver on November 26th as part of the selection process for the Loran Awards, Canada’s largest and most comprehensive undergraduate scholarship program. The Loran Scholars Foundation received 4,438 applications this year from schools across the country. Only the top 10% of candidates are selected as semi-finalists, based on evidence of character, service and leadership potential. After regional interviews, 84 students across Canada will be invited to interview at the national level. Up to 32 students will be chosen as Loran Scholars, after national interviews, with each scholar receiving a Loran Award valued at $100,000 over four years. The Loran Scholars Foundation is a national charity that identifies and supports young leaders of character. In addition to selecting Loran Scholars, it will grant up to 54 finalist awards ($3,000 each) and 40 provincial awards ($2,000 each) to promising candidates. |
