I only taught Aneesha for a very short time but she has really made a big impression on me over the past three years. There are so many things that I will remember about her:
- first, and foremost, I will remember what a strong social conscience Aneesha has. She takes a real interest in (and responsibility for) the problems and injustices of society. She writes letters. She attends marches. She SPEAKS UP!! This is so admirable in today's world. It is people like Aneesha who drive social change and who make a tangible difference in the world. Thank-you Aneesha for your dedication and your courage in this area. It is truly inspiring to me.
- she is a voracious reader (when she has time). Aneesha was an original member of the KG Book club and recommended some of the best books we ever read (The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared, etc)
- she invested an incredible amount of time and energy into KG's Green Team. I know that this is actually a source of stress for some of us KG staff: "What are we going to do next year when Aneesha is not here to lead the Green Team?!". You will be missed, AB!
- SHE thinks that I think that she can't do Math. But I DO NOT think this. I KNOW that Aneesha is a VERY intelligent person and can do ANYTHING that she puts her mind to... even Math!
- She loves her brother dearly. I am a HUGE FAN of when siblings are not shy to share their love for one another. And Aneesha has this sort of relationship with her (fantastic) brother, Shami. Just a few weeks ago, I was riding the bus with Aneesha and she was telling me how sad she was for Shami to be travelling to India for the summer ("What will I do without him"). So sweet. Never lose that close bond Aneesha (and Shami too).
- Aneesha is obsessed with Tyler Oakley (whoever that is. Some YouTube "star", I believe).
- Aneesha has awesome friends. Truly great people!!
- Aneesha has the best accent in KG. Just my opinion, but it is pretty darn awesome! I loved it when we were both at knitting club, just to hear some of the different phrases and words she uses. She is a very eloquent speaker and the accent makes it even better!
- Aneesha is a great actress. She has taken part in several KG Theatre productions (including the just finished - and hilarious - Game of Tiaras) and she always does a fantastic job. Such a talented girl!
- Aneesha has a wonderful sense of humour. I have not spent A LOT of time with her but the time I HAVE spent with her often includes a great deal of laughter.
