Darryl is a very unpredictable guy. Last year in Calculus he did AMAZING on about half of his tests. The other half... uh...
The difference? Darryl's unpredictable attendance.
Other unpredictable things about Darryl:
- who he sits with in class (or sometimes by himself)
- where he sits in class (unlike almost EVERYBODY else)
- whether he is very quiet or quite animated / talkative
- whether I see him every time I leave my class (often on the third floor benches) or not for weeks at a time
- his LAST NAME!!!
One thing that is NOT unpredictable about Darryl is his kind, gentle nature. Even on the few occasions when he came with concerns about his marks, etc he was always very respectful and fair. One time in particular, I remember that he was not very happy with my response to his concerns and yet, he still left with a (small) smile and a "thank you". So impressive!
You are a smart guy, Darryl. Keep working hard (be predictable about THAT) and I know that you are going to do very well at university. Thanks for being in my class (and for doing great work even when you WEREN'T in my class). All the best!
