The Faculty of Science and Horticulture at Kwantlen Polytechnic University would like to invite you, your students, and their parents to upcoming information sessions for two exciting new degree programs:
In the BSc in Applications of Mathematics program http://www.kpu.ca/bsc-applications-mathematics , traditional mathematics coursework is combined with courses that allow students to apply their mathematical skills in diverse fields, providing a broad range of options for careers or further education. The mathematical and computational skills developed by students who complete a credential in Applications of Mathematics will enhance their employability in careers that require strong numeracy skills, as well as their suitability for admission to graduate or professional schools.
The BSc in Physics for Modern Technology http://www.kpu.ca/physics-modern-technology will give students a solid background in physics and also in the applications of physics to modern technology. The program has been designed with the needs of local high-tech industry in mind and will equip students to work in a wide variety areas including (but not limited to): green energy technology, industrial process control, electronics, robotics, technical sales, and teaching. In order to ensure students' future success in the workplace, the program includes a work placement and business courses.
There will be two information sessions:
Surrey campus (12666 22nd Ave): Tuesday March 3rd, 6:30pm-7:30pm, Fir building, room 144.
Richmond campus (8771 Lansdowne Road): Thursday March 5th, 6:30pm-7:30pm, room 1420.
