Recent Student of the Week Artour B (more popularly known as Arteezy) recently linked to my blog on some Dota page of his. I predicted this would lead to a lot more views of my website... perhaps a 700% increase I joked. Here's what actually happened:
On a typical day, I get around 200 views of my website (not bad for a geeky math website). With Artour's "assistance" I got 28200 views yesterday... an increase of 14000%!! That's 14 THOUSAND percent!!!

There were also about 200 comments left. Sadly, though entertaining, most of them were quite foul (to say the least) and needed to be deleted. I must, however, post my favorite comment of the bunch:
Mr. Wedge, you should stop trying to ridicule professional gaming as a career as it's far, far, far harder than obtaining your current job, among other things. From abysmally low salaries that would make teachers kneel down and cry in 15 languages for all the money they earn to the fact that you are in constant, top-tier world-wide competition to being pressured to display amazing results or be ready to be kicked out at any moment out of your job with no laws or regulations while you're under a 15 hours a day practice schedule, and that's not when you're playing on tournament LANs for 3 days in a row with maybe 5 hours total of sleep. Oh, and that's hoping that your manager won't [censored] completely, since they get little to no repercussion for doing so. That includes keeping your tournament earnings and running away with the money.
Just a heads up so you won't look like a clown to thousands of people who actually know what you are trying to write about. Enjoy sitting on your chair repeating the same things you've learned 30 years ago during your relaxing 40 hours-a-week job where barely anyone even has the ability of proving you wrong or challenging you.
Perhaps now with less e-Sports ridiculing.
