Chau is a very interesting student. Just this week I found out that she used to live in Brunei. And Hungary! And Thailand (I think). And now Vancouver! Wow! This girl is more worldly at graduation age then I will likely EVER be! Imagine some of the experiences she's had and things she's seen!
One of my favourite memories of Chau was watching her practice her dance routines... DURING SILENT READING! I'd be reading my book and gradually notice this noise: "tap. Tap-tap. Tap. TAP. Tap-tap". What the...? I look up and there is Chau, kind of reading her book (not really) and moving her feet in some sort of rhythmic pattern. She's dancing... but just with her feet!
Incidentally, I have seen Chau's dancing prowess in action a couple of times. There is the dance she did with Telmen (which I posted last week I believe). And there was another video she made with Youra that I am not allowed to post... (boo!!)
I don't think Chau has EVER asked me for help in Math class. Talk about a talented and independent Math student! Chau always received VERY high marks in Math class... and she always learned everything all on her own. Impressive!
Hey, something else I love about Chau: she rides a bike to school! Yahoo Chau!
Chau, I will miss your big, beautiful smile and the little songs you sang to yourself under your breath (I do that too!). Who knows where in the world you will end up (you've been so many places already!) but I know you will find great success wherever you are. It's been a true pleasure to teach you Chau. All the best to you!!
