This week's student of the week is Tural M (picture please, Moe!). I'll always remember Tural for a number of reasons:
In spite of Tural's somewhat cruel sense of humour (see #1 above), the fact of the matter is that he was always respectful and kind to me. I'll CHOOSE to pretend that all his "How's my favorite teacher" queries were authentic and he was only joking when he reported on how much he despised me (and don't tell me if I have it the wrong way around).
I get the impression that Tural has big goals for himself in terms of post-secondary education and beyond. And I am confident that he will be successful with whatever goals he sets for himself. Now, if I could just get him to do his work ON TIME!!!

I hate you.
- his ability to maintain a joke - the SAME joke - for four straight years (it ended, for some reason, in this, the fifth year I've taught him): "You are my favorite teacher... I hate you".
- his great love of postponing tests
- his constant threat to leave our (wonderful) school and take his math talents elsewhere (i.e. Kits)
