Edward is another one of KG's strong Math students. He, too, finished PreCalculus 12 last year (when he was only in grade 11). Nice job, Edward! Hope Calculus is going well this year.
Some of the things that I will always remember about Edward:
- Edward really loved the Life Lessons in grade 12. Sometime I wasn't sure if I should continue with them (too long? too boring? too weird?) but Edward would always (gently) urge me on. And I know he really thought about those life lessons. He did the (optional) homework at least a couple of times and told me about it. It made me feel good to know that someone was putting the insights into action! Way to go, EL!
- Edward kept a Math journal as part of his term project in PreCalculus 12. It was really interesting to see all the hard work, doubts, frustrations that he went through. It was a good reminder to me that even the highest achieving students deal with a lot of negative emotions on their way to their ultimate success. Congratulations for your perseverance Edward (and to ALL of you who work so hard in my classes!)
- I can't help but associate Edward with Lu. These two were such a great team in my class: supporting each other, sitting together, staying to chat with me. They have very similar personalities: kind, soft-spoken, thoughtful, appreciative - and I always loved spending time with them.
I hope you are having a great Grade 12 year, Edward. Thanks for always being so friendly and committed to your studies. It was very, very easy to teach you... and lots of fun! All the best for this year and well beyond!!
